What happens to what you tell us.

• This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no advertising.
• Loading a page here contacts nobody but findraahat.com. Not Google, not a font service, not a content network.
• The enquiry form does not send anything to a server. It opens WhatsApp with your message already written, and you press send.
• We keep no mailing list, and we have never sold anything about anyone to anybody.
• If you want what you sent us deleted, ask, and we will.

Who you are dealing with

The Raahat Sanctuary is a farmstay at Rahatgarh in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh, run by Kumar Dimitra as a sole proprietor, and registered with Madhya Pradesh Tourism as a bed and breakfast under number BB/SGR/2026344.

That makes him responsible for anything you send us, under the Information Technology Act and the rules made under it, which are in force now, and under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, most of which begins to bite on 13 May 2027. He is also the person to bring a complaint to. There is no privacy department here. There is one of him, and he answers his own phone.

What we ask you for, and why

• Your name. So we know who is arriving.
• A phone number. To confirm the booking, and to call if you are standing on the wrong side of the highway.
• Your dates and how many of you there are. To hold the right rooms.
• Whatever you write in the note. A food allergy, a late train, a birthday. Only what you choose to tell us.
• One government photo ID at check-in. Madhya Pradesh requires every place that lets rooms to keep a register. Any ID works. If you use Aadhaar, please bring the masked version. We have no reason to hold your number.
• Passport and visa details, if you are not an Indian citizen. See the section on foreign guests below.

That is the entire list. We do not ask for your address, your age, your employer or your income, and nobody from here will ever ask you for a card number.

How your message actually reaches us

The enquiry form on the contact page does not submit to any server. Pressing the button opens WhatsApp with your name, dates, guest count and note already typed out. Nothing leaves your browser until you press send inside WhatsApp yourself. If you would rather write, the email address goes to a Gmail inbox.

So your message ends up in two places: your own WhatsApp or mail, and ours. On the way it passes through Meta's systems, or Google's, under their terms rather than ours. There is no third place. This website keeps no copy, because it has nowhere to keep one.

What this site leaves on your device

No cookies at all, and nothing that identifies you. Three things can end up in your browser's own storage, and they stay there.

• raahat-cart. The pantry basket, so your order survives a reload. It clears when you place the order.
• raahat-lang. Which language you were reading in. It says English today, because the Hindi version is switched off.
• raahat.trees.v1 and raahat.survey.v1. Only on the farm planting editor, which is an internal tool we use for our own survey work. It is not linked from anywhere and search engines are asked to skip it.

None of it is sent anywhere, and you can be rid of all of it right here.

Clear what this site has stored on my device

That empties the basket and the language preference. Clearing site data for findraahat.com in your browser settings does the same thing, and a private window never keeps any of it in the first place.

Who else ever sees any of this

• Cloudflare serves the site. The edge server nearest you handles the request, which means it sees your IP address, the way any host of any website does. Nothing more.
• Meta, through WhatsApp, if you use the WhatsApp button.
• Google, through Gmail, if you write to the email address.
• Google Maps and Instagram, only if you click those links, at which point you are on their site rather than ours.

No analytics provider, no advertising network, no customer database, no booking channel, no data broker. If we ever pass your number to somebody on the ground, a driver we have arranged or a guide for a day trip, we will tell you we are doing it.

Foreign guests, and the form we have to file

If you are not an Indian citizen, the law requires us to report your stay. Under the Immigration and Foreigners Act 2025 and the rules made under it, the keeper of any accommodation must file Form C with the Bureau of Immigration within twenty four hours of a foreign national's arrival, and report the departure as well. It carries your passport and visa particulars.

The duty is ours rather than yours, and neither of us can opt out of it. It also means this is the one thing we cannot delete if you ask, for as long as the law requires us to hold it. We would rather say that here than at the gate.

How long we keep things

• An enquiry that never became a stay: six months, then it goes from the phone and the inbox.
• Booking and invoice records: eight years, which is what Indian tax law expects of us.
• The guest register and the Form C filings: as long as the rules require.

Nothing else. We keep no standing list of people who once asked about a room.

What you can ask us to do

All of this is yours for the asking today. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act makes most of it binding on us from 13 May 2027, and we would rather not wait for the date. You can ask us for:

• a summary of what we hold about you, what we did with it, and who else has seen it;
• a correction, or something filled in or brought up to date;
• deletion, once we no longer need it for the reason you gave it to us;
• and to nominate someone who can do all of this on your behalf if you die or cannot act for yourself.

Write on WhatsApp or by email and quote the number you booked from, so we can find you. We will answer within seven days. Where the law makes us keep something, the tax records and the foreign guest filings, we will tell you which piece that is and delete the rest.

If we get it wrong

Tell us first, on the same number or the same email, and give us seven days. If you are still unhappy after that, the Act lets you take it to the Data Protection Board of India. It asks you to come to us first, which suits us, because we would rather fix it than read about it.

If we ever lose control of something of yours, we will tell you what happened, what it means for you, what we have done about it and what you should do, and we will report it to the Board.

Where all of this sits

The farm is in India and so are we, so your data is handled here. The website is served from Cloudflare's network, which for most Indian visitors means Mumbai, and for a visitor elsewhere means whichever of their locations is closest.

If you are writing from the European Union or the United Kingdom: this is a small farmstay in India. We do not price in euros or pounds, we do not advertise there, and the only thing on offer is a room you would have to travel to. We handle your enquiry in India because that is where the farm is and where you asked us to hold a room.

Keeping it safe

The honest answer is that the risk was never the website, which holds nothing. It is the phone and the inbox your message lands in. Both are locked and carry two factor authentication, old enquiry threads are cleared on the schedule above, and the guest register lives where guests do not.

Money

No money changes hands through this website. You settle at the farm, and pantry orders are paid on pickup or delivery. We will never ask you for card details over WhatsApp or email, and anyone who does is not us. We are looking at adding an online payment option, and if it arrives, this page will say so before it goes live.
